JOMO KWAME SUNDARAM is a Senior Adviser at the Khazanah Research Institute, a Fellow at the Academy of Science, Malaysia, an Emeritus Professor at the University of Malaya; and a Visiting Fellow at the Initiative for Policy Dialogue, Columbia University. He has advised several governments in Asia and Africa and served as Assistant Secretary-General, UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, and Assistant Director-General for Economic and Social Development, Food and Agriculture Organization. Jomo received the 2007 Wassily Leontief Prize for Advancing the Frontiers of Economic Thought. He has authored or edited over a hundred books and produced academic papers and media articles. He was Founding Director of the Institute of Social Analysis and Founding Chair of International Development Economics Associates.
